Give your furry friend an exciting puppy vacation by sending them to Kim's for the holidays! We like to make boarding over peak times a little extra special for our furry friends. While the activities vary by year, our staff loves to add a little extra fun and enrichment around the holidays. We've hosted everything from themed photoshoots to themed activities to treat exchanges, and we've got plenty more holiday fun where that came from!
Availability varies by year, but one of our favorite activities to offer is our Valentine's Day Treat Exchange! Pups and their people bring in a decorated box and about 25 treats to share with their friends, then our staff members stuff boxes full of goodies. We've seen homemade treats (labels help our friends with allergies!), small toys, mini enrichment feeders, tennis balls, treats from local vendors, chewables, dental treats, and LOTS of Milkbones! Some generous peeps even bring treats for the staff to enjoy 😍
We love our Christmas and Thanksgiving boarders! These holidays fill up fast, especially for our Rowdy Rompers, so make sure to get your holiday booking early. We offer special photo add-ons depending on staff availability, like pictures with SAMta, or Buddy the Elf! Some years we also offer a specialty dinner for the pups staying with us over Thanksgiving weekend. Spring Break is THE busiest week of the year here at the kennel! We're packed to the max with furry friends who enjoy their own doggy vacation while their favorite people travel. We switch it up year by year, but we always try to keep Spring Break interesting for our boarders. Check out these add-ons we've been known to include over our Spring Break PAWty!
Spring Break books up FAST here at Kim's K-9! If your dog will need a place to stay the first week of April, make sure to book ahead. If our interactive boarding fills up and we still have private suites available, we may be able to offer your pup a spot in our solo boarding program! Solo boarders also enjoy Spring Break fun, so your pup will get the same exciting opportunities.

Some photo opportunities are exclusive to VIP Members. Some photo ops, like photos with Santa, are typically offered as an add-on, but are included with a VIP subscription. A custom calendar of your dog is only included for VIP members. Photo add-ons vary by year.
Yes! Dogs in our private boarding program will have the same opportunity to visit Santa, hunt for eggs, or enjoy a holiday-themed treat as the pups enjoying our interactive boarding program. We are careful to avoid dog-to-dog contact for these add-ons when it comes to private suite boarders.
Dogs in our interactive Daycare program can include add-ons to their stay, but not all of them are available. For example, a holiday meal will not be available for daycare dogs who head home before dinnertime. Holiday add-ons, such as photo ops, are limited by day, so message the team for availability.

You can include a holiday-related add-on for your pet's holiday boarding stay in Gingr, or by messaging the staff.
The Puppy Playground daycare program does not include overnight stays and is limited by availability. Message staff to see if your puppy is eligible for any upcoming holiday-related add-ons.
Dogs in an overnight or daycare training program are eligible for the holiday add-ons! Message your trainer to learn more. Not all training stays will overlap with holidays. Standard training photos and report cards will be available regardless of time of year.
