We love your pups, and we know the feeling is mutual.
Let's be honest, trust is perhaps the most important issue when you're looking for daycare. We've all heard the horror stories of pets getting sick, getting into fights, or coming home over-tired (too much group time) or over-wired (not enough). Sure, you could pay big bucks for a private suite for your pet, complete with a TV and pet bed, but your pet can watch TV at home! At Kim's K-9, we have a practical approach to dog daycare that says "Let dogs be dogs." We give them the enrichment they crave safely, and our expert staff will get to know your furry friend personally to give them their best doggy day ever.
Dogs in our daycare program are divided into play areas by size and play style to keep everyone safe and provide opportunities for socialization.
Even timid or anxious dogs can enjoy a day of play at Kim’s K-9. We start every dog with a free introduction day to get to know their unique temperament and play style to find the right play space for them. Puppies who go through our Puppy Kindergarten training and socialization program will be especially likely to enjoy group play. Want to learn more about solo-play options? Check out our private suite boarding!
We put dogs first in all things. That means treating dogs like dogs! We honor canine psychology by providing pooch-first enrichment opportunities, carefully monitored group play, and private rest time to ensure nobody over-exerts themselves. We also divide our rooms by both energy level and size, to keep every pup safe.
Enrichment can include:
When your pup is with us, they’re like one of our own. We give them all the love and personalized attention you’d give them at home, with the added expertise only trained pet professionals can provide. We are equipped to handle any emergency and will report any abnormalities (like when your dog has an upset tummy, coughs, or poops a balloon (true story)). Discover your pet’s new favorite place!

We have used Kim’s K-9 for training and boarding now for 3 different dogs. They are amazing!!! We never hesitate to board our dog knowing she will get playtime, attention, and be cared for the whole time. I can’t imagine NOT using them!!!
My dog loves it here. He always comes home tired which is a huge win. This is the third doggie day care we have tried and in my opinion it is the best bang for your buck.
This is the best doggy daycare in GR or the surrounding area. If you think of your dog as family, then this is the only place you can rely on to take care of him/her.
Bruce goes to daycare and he loves it and so do we. The staff is always so helpful and so kind it makes you feel good knowing that you’re leaving your pup in such good hands with everyone at Kim’s.
They were wonderful with quick and clear communication. Between the excellent service, the superior care they provide, and the low prices, Kim’s K-9 is most definitely the place to bring your pups.
This is an interactive daycare! They oversee, intervene, and train my six-month-old pup all day long during play, mealtime, rest time. The staff are trained, interested, engaged, and professional. Our dog receives shaping every single day at Kim’s K-9!
Our daycare program lets dogs be dogs! We give them structured play and rest time each day, with 4-6 hours of supervised playtime with our expert staff. Our staff will keep track of play, practice name recall with the dogs, and intervene as needed. When they're not romping with their pals, each dog has their own private kennel where they can rest comfortably.
We have four playgroups here at Kim's K-9 for everyone's safety, they are: Rowdy Rompers (which is just what it sounds like), Mighty Mediums, Balance Buddies, and Tiny Tots. Some medium-sized dogs with a more rambunctious play style will land in our Rowdy Rompers group. Pets are divided by both size and energy level. Small dogs weighing 25 lbs or less are placed in Tiny Tots for their own safety. Even though lots of our Tots can play with the "big kids," it can pose a safety risk for them if the bigger dogs get too excited. Tiny Tots have equal access to enrichment, as well as indoor and outdoor play.
The VIP Program is a new monthly subscription program for our regular daycare attendees to get a little extra TLC beyond the woofs, wags, and laughs we already offer to the pups in our care. You can read more about our VIP Program on this page, or message us for more info!
The Pooch Pass is a unique boarding discount pass that can be purchased at the front desk or on the Gingr app. This pass allows our beloved clients to purchase 10 daycare stays ahead of time and receive the 11th day free. Contact us for more info!
We do not offer grooming at this time, but we do offer baths with a towel dry! Choose the "bath" add-on when booking your daycare stay, or email us directly and we'll get it set up.
First, your dog needs to enjoy group play to do well in our interactive daycare program! Our expert staff will invite you in for a trial day to ascertain what your pet's play style is and if they are a good fit for the group activities we offer here. Second, and of equal importance, your pet needs to be fully vaccinated per our vaccination standards. You can ask your vet to email or fax us your vaccination confirmation. Finally, we do require reservations. Check out our VIP program to learn how to receive priority booking or reserved kennels!
No, your dog does not have to graduate from our training program or any training program, as long as their unique play style and temperament are a good fit for our social groups here at Kim's. Dogs that do graduate from a training program at Kim's K-9 will benefit from our Kim's K-9 Family Discount, and receive shaping in line with our training program daily. For example, when dogs in our care have learned “wait” in our training program, we ask them to “wait” at each open door to help maintain that training. As a bonus, it keeps everyone safe and prevents bolting through open doors!
No, daycare is not an appropriate place to socialize an antisocial dog. Every dog is different! Some furry friends don't enjoy playing with other dogs, and that's okay. If your dog falls into that category, they may benefit from our private boarding option. Message us to discuss your concerns and learn how we can best support your pet!
